Join the biggest carnival in the Capital-Kampala
The Kampala Capital City Carnival runs this Sunday 07 October, 2017 along the Kampala Road. The event parade will run from Watoto Church up to Esso Corner with the main event at the Railway Station Gardens.
The carnival comes at the time when Uganda is marking its 50th Independence Anniversary, held on 09 October, every year.
This is the first event of its kind and organizers have plans to add it onto Kampala’s must-see annual events calendar. Festivities include live cultural performances and traditional dances, African food and drinks, colourful costumes, giant float, lots of kids activities to keep them occupied. There will also be fireworks displays.
According to organisers, it is difficult to estimate exactly how many people will attend.
The KCCA Carnival starts at 9am and runs through the day til late in the night.
If you are visiting Kampala this weekend, you may get the opportunity to join Kampaleans as they party all day and through the night.
This event is sponsored by KCCA in conjunction with Silk Events and Real Marketing and supported by Daily Monitor, Ruparelia Group, CBS fm, Housing Finance Bank, NTV Uganda and Bell Lager.
